| Events The 2022 Entrepreneurship Scholar in Residence at Oxford University was held June 26-July 1, 2022, and was co-sponsored by Whitman’s Institute for an Entrepreneurial Society (IES). Among the many faculty participants were Whitman’s Maria Minniti, IES director and Bantle Chair in Entrepreneurship and Public Policy, and IES Associate Director Roger Koppl, professor of finance. During the workshop, Devin Stein, entrepreneurship doctoral candidate, presented his paper titled “Nested Knowledge and the Creation of Public Value: Wildfire Management in Northern California.” “A Better Tomorrow? Work and Well-being in the Entrepreneurial Society Workshop,” was held in Steninge, Sweden, in May and was organized by Whitman’s Johan Wiklund, Al Berg Chair and professor of entrepreneurship, and Joel Carnevale, assistant professor of management. The workshop brought leading and emerging scholars together to discuss their most recent work and push the boundaries of current knowledge on the relationship between work, entrepreneurship and well-being. | | | | | |

| Thought Leadership: Webinars and Podcasts “Successfully Navigating a Multi-Country and Multi-Cultural World” (March 11, 2022) was organized by Whitman’s Kiebach Center for International Business Studies with speaker John Breidenstine, minister-counselor for Commercial Affairs and ASEAN Regional Senior Commercial Offices at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand. Panelists included Whitman’s Peter Koveos, professor of finance and Kiebach Center director, and Natalia Zhiglinskaya Wyrsch, adjunct professor, as well as John Tracy, senior international trade specialist, U.S. Commercial Service, U.S. Department of Commerce. “Management Issues Faced by U.S. Companies Based on COVID-19, Re-emergence of China and Russian/Ukraine War” (April 14, 2022) was moderated by Whitman’s Cameron Miller, assistant professor of management. Panelists were Stephen Bell ’09 MBA, project engineer at FedEx Corp.; Mark Hebert ’05, managing director, head of investment-grade corporates at Deutsch Bank AG; and Stephanie Jorden ’07, executive director, global commercial capabilities at Amgen.
