Introducing the new Susan R. Klenk Learning Café

Falk College celebrated the opening of the new Susan R. Klenk Learning Café and Kitchens with a dedication ceremony held Friday, September 16, 2016.

The new hands-on learning laboratory includes an experimental food lab kitchen, commercial kitchen, baking nook and café. A video camera system allows faculty and chef instructors to broadcast classes, food demonstrations and seminars from Falk College to anywhere on campus and across the country. The learning café and teaching kitchens set the stage for industry-leading, forward-thinking approaches to food and culture, nutrition, research, and food studies development. Read more.

The 18th Annual James L. Stone Legislative Policy Forum brought social work students together with neighborhood, community and political leaders to discuss the trauma, pain, and disruption of gun violence, and what is being, and should be, done to address this issue. Read more.

New Certificate of Advanced Studies in Child Therapy

Marriage and family therapy has introduced a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Child Therapy, addressing a growing national shortage of mental health professionals trained to work with children and adolescents and their families. Read more.
