Announcements and Deadlines Academic Drop Deadline: Monday, 10/23 First-Year Academic Advising First-Year students should sign up for group advising via OrangeLink. Program-specific sessions run October 17th – November 10th and you should sign up for the session that corresponds with your major. This is mandatory for all first-year students – you will not be able to register for Spring 2018 courses without being advised. This is for first-year students only. What is Degree Works? Tuesday, 10/23, 10am-noon, Link Lobby Degree Works is a web-based tool to help students and advisors monitor a students’ progress toward degree completion. It is designed to facilitate academic advising, but is not intended to replace face-to-face advising. Degree Works combines Syracuse University’s degree requirements and the coursework a student has completed into an easy-to-read worksheet that helps to show a student what courses and requirements still need to be completed. Apply to EntreTech NYC EntreTech NYC brings SU students to NYC for 5 days during winter break in January. We’ll immerse ourselves in the NYC digital landscape by visiting and interacting with emerging startups, established unicorn companies, SU alumni, and investors in Manhattan at companies like Google NYC, FourSquare, LinkedIn, Night Agency, Brand Yourself, Vox Media, Arkadium, and more. EntreTech NYC is designed to give students a firsthand look at the companies, entrepreneurs, and way of life in Manhattan. This program is open to students from all majors. Students must enroll for three undergraduate or graduate credits. Applications are due November 3rd. Click here for more information.
