Changes in Cellular Architecture During Aging (R01)

  • Feb 5 (HHS); This FOA seeks applications that propose innovative research strategies aimed at increasing the understanding of the changes in cellular architecture that occur during the aging process.

Selected Topics in Transfusion Medicine (R01)

  •  Feb 5 (HHS); This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) encourages research grant applications from investigators who propose to study research topics in blood banking and transfusion medicine aimed at improving the safety and availability of the blood supply and the practice of transfusion medicine.

Innovative Pathways

  • Feb 15 (DoE); This FOA is seeking to surface new testable and scalable ways (mechanisms, approaches, models, and/or platforms) to address the following: 1) Technical Community & Industry Collaboration, and 2) Lowering Barriers to Resource Access.

Drug Abuse Dissertation Research (R36)

  • Feb 16 (HHS); The goal of this FOA is to enhance the diversity of the drug abuse research workforce by providing dissertation awards on topics related to the study of basic and clinical neuroscience, development, epidemiology, prevention, treatment, services, or women and sex/gender differences as they relate to drug abuse.

Algorithms for Threat Detection (ATD)

  • Feb 21 (NSF); the program will support research projects to develop the next generation of mathematical and statistical algorithms for analysis of large spatiotemporal datasets with application to quantitative models of human dynamics.

Plasma Science Facilities

  • May 5 (DoE); This FOA covers following research areas: 1) magnetic reconnection (topological changes of the magnetic field lines); 2) particle acceleration by shocks, turbulence, and/or magnetic reconnection; 3) turbulent cascade and dissipation of energy in magnetized plasmas; and 4) formation of coherent structures in magnetized plasmas.

Quantitative Imaging Tools and Methods for Cancer Therapy Response Assessment

  • April 9 (LOI), May 9 (Proposal), (NIH); The scientific scope of this FOA includes: 1) Development and optimization of QI tools and/or methods for treatment planning, predicting or measuring response to therapy as open source tools that will translate into clinical trial decision support; 2) Validation of the optimized tools in clinical settings to demonstrate their value for decision support in ongoing single-site or multisite clinical trials.
