Funding Opportunities

Smart and Autonomous Systems

  • December 19, 2016 (NSF); The S&AS program welcomes research on Intelligent Physical Systems(IPS) that are aware of their capabilities and limitations, leading to long-term autonomy requiring minimal or no human operator intervention.

Common Heterogeneous Integration and IP reuse strategies (CHIPS)

  • Jan 13, 2017 (DoD); The goal of the CHIPS program is to establish and demonstrate a modular design and fabrication flow for electronic systems while addressing the rising cost, lead-time, and complexity of IC design.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – ERA Creation of a Healthcare-Associated Infectious Disease Modeling Network to Improve Prevention Research and Healthcare Delivery

  • Jan 31, 2017 (HHS); The purpose of this project is to support innovative transmission modeling research that will expand knowledge and develop tools to better understand the spread of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), particularly those that are resistant to antimicrobials.

Research Using Linked Data to Understand Motor Vehicle Injury among Older Adults

  • Feb 13, 2017 (CDC); Motor vehicle crashes are the second leading cause of unintentional injury death for adults aged 65 years and older. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention & National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC) is soliciting investigator-initiated research that will help determine the utility of linked data for identifying risk factors, protective factors, and outcomes of motor vehicle crashes among older adults.

Algorithms for Modern Power Systems

  • Feb 13, 2017 (NSF); The Algorithms for Modern Power Systems (AMPS) program will support research projects to develop the next generation of mathematical and statistical algorithms for improvement of the security, reliability, and efficiency of the modern power grid.
