#EWeekSU 2018 is February 18-24, 2018

Join us for our annual celebration of National Engineers Week!  We’ve got renowned guest speakers, a formal, a Corporate Showcase, student design showcases, and lots of social activities hosted by E&CS student organizations!  Door prizes will be given at most events and the more you participate, the more chances you’ll have to win the GRAND PRIZE of a Google Home Mini, an Amazon Firestick, or a Google Chromecast!  View the schedule of events here.

Apply Now for Invent@SU Summer 2018

This summer, Invent@SU returns to transform undergrads into inventors as they design, prototype, and pitch original devices. The program is open to all Syracuse undergraduate students.  Invent@SU, supported by Bill and Penny Allyn, follows a proven method of developing students’ abilities to innovate and communicate. Students learn about design, ideation, and intellectual property, then build and refine their very own invention with weekly feedback from alumni and industry leaders.  Click here for more information.

Engineering World Health Chocolate Fundraiser

Tabling on Tuesday and Wednesday in Link from 10am – 3:30pm
EWH is holding a chocolate bar fundraiser for Valentines Day! You can buy one for yourself, for a friend, for a significant other and/or pay for a chocolate bar to be donated to the Samaritan Center! The Samaritan Center is a soup kitchen in Syracuse that we will be delivering the chocolate to on Valentines Day.  Email hrebar@syr.edu with any orders or questions!

Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics (BEAM) Seeks Paid Summer Math Tutors – deadline to apply 2/20/18

Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics (BEAM), a project of the Art of Problem Solving Initiative, is seeking undergraduate students to be counselors and teaching assistants for a summer program that gives everyone a chance to excel in mathematics. You’ll create a vibrant social experience for kids who are discovering for the first time that there are other people who like doing mathematics; you’ll also be a TA for classes on topics such as number theory, combinatorics, problem solving, and computer science. Be a role model and guide for students who are just beginning to set their educational path!  Click here for more information and to apply.

Apply for TechTrek Chicago! This city is the home to companies like Grubhub, Basecamp, Groupon, and Boeing. On this trip, you’ll get your foot in the door visiting companies like these and meeting the people that work there. If you’re interested in startups, entrepreneurship, and business creation, this is the trip for you.
