Only 20% of qualified Our Time Has Come Scholarship applicants are awarded a scholarship. But if 4,000 alumni and friends come together, by 2020 we can increase the scholarships awarded from 50 to 100!

Scholars tour Turner, NYC

Turner immersion day with su students

Our Time Has Come Scholars traveled to New York City for a career immersion at global media company Turner. Hosted by Kristin Perez Bragg ’93, the day was filled with executive panels, studio tours, and informative sessions with speakers from across the entire Turner portfolio. Shawn Outler ’89 leads Macy’s diversity efforts

Retail giant Macy’s has appointed veteran executive Shawn Outler ’89 as chief of the company’s diversity and inclusion efforts. The Whitman School graduate was a Chancellor’s Citation recipient at CBT 2014. Read more about her.

MLK celebration featuring Trevor Noah!

Syracuse University’s 34th annual MLK Celebration—the largest event of its kind in the country—will take place on Sunday, January 27, in the Carrier Dome.

In an on-stage conversation, Trevor Noah will talk about his acclaimed memoir, “Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood,” reflect on the life and legacy of Dr. King, and discuss the global impact of the civil rights movement.
