Join Engineering Ambassadors 

The Engineering Ambassadors program helps students discover the STEM fields and how they influence every day life.  Current ECS students visit local middle schools each Friday to teach students about STEM topics and do hands-on projects that reflect the weeks’ lesson.  

Learn more about Engineering Ambassadors Tuesday 9/11 (11am-2:30pm) and Wednesday 9/12 (11:30am-2:00pm) in the Link Lobby.  Training sessions will take place on Thursday 9/13 (7-8pm, HL 105) and Friday 9/14 (3-4pm HL 105). 

Join Excelerators!  Wednesday 9/12/18, 7pm, 001 LSB

The ECS Excelerators are the student ambassadors for the College of Engineering and Computer Science.  They assist in undergraduate admissions and recruitment efforts by taking prospective students to shadow classes, have lunch in the dining halls, and meeting with prospective students and their families on Open House days.  Excelerators must be enthusiastic and must enjoy talking about SU. They must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher.  Please join us for an information meeting (there will be pizza) if you are interested in joining – new first-year students are encouraged to participate. Please complete this form to express interest and if you will attend the meeting. IBM + SU Hackathon September 14-15, 2018, Bird Library

Call for Code is more than a 24 hour global hackathon taking place in Bird Library, it’s YOUR opportunity to make a lasting change for social good. Unlike other hackathons and code challenges, the code is just the beginning… Join IBM, the Blackstone LaunchPad powered by Techstars at SU, American Red Cross, and the UN Human Rights Office, to harness the power of IBM Cloud, AI, IoT, and Weather services (all free to participants!) to help those at risk of natural disasters live safer, happier lives. Top solutions at the global level are paired with an IBM Corporate Service Corps team and shared with the open source community through backing from The Linux Foundation.
