Funding Opportunities

Centre Of Excellence for Technical Training and Human Performance

  • Feb 25 (FAA); The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to establish a Center of Excellence (COE) for Technical Training and Human Performance (TTHP). The goal of this endeavor is to create a cost sharing relationship between academia, industry and government that will focus on areas of primary interest to the FAA and the aviation community as a whole.

NSF/CASIS Collaboration on Combustion and Thermal Transport Processes Research on the International Space Station to Benefit Life on Earth

  • Mar 10 (NSF); the solicitation seeks to increase use of the ISS National Lab for combustion and thermal transport studies to benefit industries on Earth and to promote ISS and existing facility/technology utilization.

Tomorrow’s Internet Project Office (TIPOFF)

  •  May 2 (NSF); Proposers responding to this solicitation will seek to serve as TIPOFF. TIPOFF will provide leadership and administrative oversight in developing, deploying and operating innovative mid-scale computing research infrastructure to meet evolving research community needs and align with emerging national priorities.

NINDS CREATE Bio Discovery Track: Optimization in Preparation for Development of Biotechnology Products and Biologics

  • July 18 (NINDS); This FOA focus on biotechnology products and biologics, which broadly include modalities such as peptides, proteins, oligonucleotides, gene therapies, and cell therapies. It supports the optimization of therapeutic lead(s) showing convincing proof-of-concept.

Cultural Anthropology

Mind, Machine and Motor Nexus  (M3X)

  • Sep 15 (NSF); M3X program supports fundamental research at the intersection of mind, machine and motor. This work will encompass not only how mind interacts with motor function in the manipulation of machines, but also how, in turn, machine response and function may shape and influence both mind and motor function.

Operations Engineering  (OE)

  •  Sep 15 (NSF); The Operations Engineering (OE) program supports fundamental research on advanced analytical methods for improving operations in complex decision-driven environments. Analytical methods include, but are not limited to, deterministic and stochastic modeling, optimization, decision and risk analysis, data science, and simulation.
