News for our SU family in Asia

Greetings from Esther Feng!

The seasons are changing, but one thing never changes—Syracuse University’s commitment to excellence. Recently, students across campus displayed their creativity and technical skills at IBM’s Call for Code Hackathon on campus, while international students shared their unique experiences in the book “Becoming International.”

Syracuse excellence also extends well beyond the campus into the lives of our alumni. Taiwanese alumnus Chen-Wen Tarn G’91 brings a new dimension to the phrase “Syracuse family.” Not only is he a proud alumnus, but his son is living his own Syracuse legacy as a first-year architecture student. And Alton Chow G’97 shares how Syracuse broadened his horizons. One way he is giving back is by facilitating AECOM’s participation at Syracuse University’s first-ever career fair for students and alumni in Beijing in January 2019.

A big thank you to all the alumni, parents, and friends of Syracuse who participated in Boost the ’Cuse II, Syracuse University’s day of giving. Thanks to all of you, 4,226 donors participated worldwide, raising $1.6 million to support a variety of programs at Syracuse University! If you missed Boost the ’Cuse, it’s not too late. You can always make a gift to Syracuse.

Forever Orange!
